Performance Development Plan { PDP }

PDP or Performance Development Plan is a significant component of PMS (Performance Management System). The PDP is a tool to improve employees’ performance and the overall performance management mechanism of the company. It identifies the gaps, areas of improvement, set goals, measure the progress towards goals and objectives, and shape the strategy to work towards the desired outcomes. Performance development planning is usually held quarterly (coinciding with regular quarterly performance reviews), allowing employees and their managers to track progress and make adjustments as needed. The process of PDP also enables employees and management to identify the personal and business goals that are most significant to the organization’s success.
