Summary:

We are looking to hire an HR Manager who will manage and enhance the organization’s human resources, develop and implement policies, co-coordinate human resources activities such as hiring, training, compensation, benefits, and enrich employee experience and relations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As an HR Manager, you will be expected to

  • Recruit: Interview, Examine and select employees to fill vacant and new positions.
  • Strategize and conduct employee orientation to align them with the company’s objectives.
  • Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Analyze salary and wage reports and information to formulate a competitive compensation plan.
  • Draft and implement directives for department managers concerning employment opportunities, reimbursements, compensation, and employee benefits.
  • Take legal assistance to make certain that policies comply with the local and national laws.
  • Develop and keep a human resources system that synchronizes with the top management information needs.
  • Maintain and oversee the recording and preserving of records required by the government as well as other departments in the organization.
  • Administer the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records pertaining to the employees of the organization.
  • Identify, understand and implement legal requirements and the regulations pertaining to human resource functions. Ensure compliance with the legal policies, procedures, and reporting. Observe and analyze legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to keep up with the industry trends.
  • Write and deliver presentations to corporate offices, government officials, educational institutions, etc regarding human resources policies and practices.
  • Govern and administer benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Coordinate safety committee meetings as a Safety Director.
  • Coordinate with the labor union as and when required.
  • Prepare the budget for human resources operations.
  • Conduct exit interviews and understand the reason behind the separation.
  • Provide reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and employee turnover.
  • Represent the organization at human resources-related hearings and investigations.
  • Manage contracts and communication with employee services providers such as temporary employees, relocation services, employees benefit scheme services, search firms, etc.
  • Coordinate with the human resources team and be responsible for the operational activities of human resources coordinators.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources from an institution of repute or its equivalent
  • Minimum {X} years of relevant experience in the field of human resources.
  • Sufficient knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and work independently of the management.
  • Additional understanding and knowledge of human behavior will be appreciated.

Statutory Compliance:

  1. Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
  2. Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
  3. Devise procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
  4.  Draft, modify and implement company policies.
  5. Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
  6. Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
  7. Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  8. Guide, Monitor and supervise the Statutory Compliance team.

Talent Acquisition:

  1. Develop candidate talent pipelines through sourcing channels, recruitment campaigns (walk-ins and campus recruitment), internet searches, networking groups, social media, database search, and referrals.
  2. Promote skill development program such as NETAPP, Apprentice, and other.
  3. Promote internal sourcing, referral sourcing (Parichay)
  4. Guide, Monitor, and supervise talent acquisition team.

Industrial Relation:

  1. Consultant and partner of Head of Human Resources in Labor and Industrial Relations matters.
  2. Handling labor disputes between employee and company, as a liaison to the government, and as a management representative
  3. Represents the Company in discussions and meetings with government agencies and Labor Union.
  4. Processes labor disputes/grievances in a proper and timely manner, develop compliance and investigation.
  5. To initiate appropriate disciplinary actions as per company rules & regulations.

Contractor Management:

  • Ensure and monitor monthly statutory compliance by contractors and vendors.
  • Monitor the plant-wise deployment of contract workers.
  • To ensure insurance for employees & settlement of claims, if any under Group Personal Accident and Medi-claim policies.
  • Effective coordination of all activities of Learn & Earn scheme e.g. learner’s stay, transport, learning arrangement, etc.
  • Responsible to conduct the EHS walkthrough and physical condition tour as per schedule.
  • Provide support to subordinates on EHS Compliance.
  • Responsible to initiate and ensure compliance with the work permit system.
  • To follow the safety instructions laid down by the safety dept.
  • Responsible to follow the Onsite Emergency Plan and make yourself available in case of emergency.
  • To follow the guidelines laid down by the Management in the areas of Environment, Safety, and Health & Quality.
  • To Ensure PPEs compliance.
  • Responsible to report events and near misses on time.
  • Responsible to play the role of the incident controller during emergencies.
  • To follow the guidelines laid down by the Management in the areas of Environment, Safety, and Health & Quality.
  • Responsible as Co-Champion of Contract management process under ISRS.
  • Responsible to review the prepared and amended ISRS guidelines.
  • Responsible to conduct EHS walkthrough and physical condition tour as per schedule.
  • Responsible as a coordinator of ISRS activities.
  • Responsible to prepare legal registers & their compliances.
  • Responsible as Contract Manager for assigned contractors.
  • Responsible for Annual/Half yearly Medical Check-up of all employees.
