Pink Slip
The term “pink slip” refers to a notice of dismissal that is issued to an employee. It’s essentially a formal announcement. The employee has been removed from the services, and his services are no longer available, according to the note. It’s also used as a colloquial expression for a termination note. Simply put, it implies you’ve been shot. Employees, for the most part, are not happy about it for apparent reasons.
How does a Pink Slip work?
A pink slip informs an employee that they have been terminated or laid off. The expression “I was pink-slipped yesterday and no longer have a career” can even be used as a sentence. Pink slips may be sent out randomly or in groups, as in the case of mass cuts and the business shut down.
