Delphi Technique
The Delphi Technique is a structured forecasting tool for gathering opinions from a panel of experts on an issue by survey questions, which are often submitted through the mail. In other words, a Delphi technique is a set of written opinions on a particular problem gathered from many specialists in the area, normally by questionnaires.
Advantages of Delphi Technique
The Delphi approach aims to gather opinions from a diverse group of experts without requiring anyone to come together for a physical conference. Person panellists do not have to think about consequences regarding their comments because the comments of the members are confidential. As views are swayed, the agreement can be reached over time, making the process very successful.
