Leave balance means the number of leaves remaining to utilize from the sanctioned annual leave quota of an employee. It is the statement that contains the status of leave balances (sick leave, vacation, personal days, and compensatory time). The statement contains the number and type of leaves utilized and remaining. It means annual leave including equivalent terms for annual leave, compensatory time, vested annual leave, or compensatory time balances.
