ISO 9004
ISO 9004 is a document that can accompany the ISO 9001 standard for implementing a quality management system. This document is designed to guide any organization on ways to improve their quality and make their quality management system more successful. Unlike ISO 9001, ISO 9004 is not intended for certification, regulatory or contractual use. It was most recently updated in 2009 to match the 2008 version of ISO 9001, and should not be confused with ISO 9014, which is a common misspelling and does not exist. It follows comparable clauses to the ISO 9001 requirements standard. The goal is to guide how to implement and update the processes created according to ISO 9001.
