    Form 24Q is used for the declaration of the TDS returns of the citizen in detail. This form is used by taxpayers. It contains detailed information about the salary and the tax deductions. Form 24Q consists of two Annextures namely Annexure 1 and Annexure 2.

    Annexure 1

    It contains the details of the deductor, challans, and the deductee. This annexure does not contain the salary details. It has to submit for all four quarters of the financial year.

    It should contain the following details of the Challan and deductee

    • BSR code of the branch
    • Date of deposition of challan
    • Challan serial number
    • The total amount of Challan
    • TDS and Interest amount
    • PAN and name of the employee
    • Date of payment

    Annexure 2

    Unlike Annexure 1, this annexure contains detailed information about salary. It needs to be submitted during the first three quarters of the financial year. This annexure covers all the deductions that have to be claimed by the employee.
