Behavioural Interview

Read Time: 1 Mins

A Behavioural Interview is an interview technique followed to recognize the past behaviour of a candidate in various job-related experiences. It helps employers to decide whether the candidate is perfectly suitable for the job role. During this method, potential employees are asked situational questions based on various examples and are analyzed on how he/she is reacting. Behavioural Interviews may also involve role-playing scenarios and written tests.

A typical interview generally revolves around a pattern that involves job role related queries which may be answered similarly by different candidates. This technique gives the interviewer an understandable picture of the candidate’s attitude that plays a vital role in certain job opportunities. The questions in the Behavioural Interview include capabilities, skills and traits required to successfully play well in a specific job position.
