Approval Chain

Read Time: 1 Mins

An approval chain means a sequence of approvals that happen based on the designed hierarchy. For example, in a structured organization when an employee applies for a leave, the process starts from sending a leave application to filling the leave application form then goes to reporting manager for approval, and once approved, it goes to HR for review, and then it gets sanctioned or rejected. The approval levels are set because the manager and HR both look at the employee’s leave quota from different perspectives. The manager will look at the current workload and HR will look at the overall situation.
