What is Job Poaching?

Job Poaching is also known as Employee Poaching or Job Poaching. It is an intentional approach of companies where they recruit employees of competing organizations. Mostly, Job Poaching occurs when a job role requires a high-demand specific skillset. The term “poaching” refers to illegal hunting, however, job poaching is not illegal.

Job Poaching is common practice among industries where companies need highly skilled employees such as software development, programming, data analysis, etc. A highly qualified and skilled engineer or software developer may receive a call from a recruiter representing the competent firm offering higher compensation or other perks.
