Peers

A peer can be defined as a person or an individual you are associated with who stands at the same level at the workplace or college. If a person is in 10th grade, other high school students are his/her peers. If a person is an executive, other colleagues working on the same level are his/her peers. Peer comes from the Latin par which means equal. It is a common term in HR during the performance evaluation process. There is a process called peer appraisal where assessment is done by the co-workers. Thus is it named as peer appraisal process.
